Former Minister of Aviation, Femi Fani-Kayode, FFK, has stated that Yorubas gave more votes to Atiku Abubakar more than the Igbos in the just concluded 2019 presidential election.
In a tweet he shared, Femi Fani-Kayode stated that despite not having any stake in the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, ticket that produced Atiku Abubakar and Peter Obi, the Yorubas still voted overwhelmingly for the party and its candidates.
Femi Fani-Kayode wrote:
In the 2019 pres. election South East gave Atiku Abubakar and Peter OBI 1. 67 million votes whilst the South West gave the same Atiku Abubakar and Peter Obi’s ticket a whooping 1. 75million votes, notwithstanding that the geo- political region had no direct stake in that ticket.
Atiku however lost the election to President Muhammadu Buhari and his running mated Vice President Yemi Osinbajo of the All Progressives Congress, APC.
