WAEC responds to Nigerians on Buhari’s missing F9 results in Maths

Nigeria News

The West African Examinations Council, WAEC has responded to the discrepancies in the statement of result issued to President Buhari in 2015 and the attestation of result presented to the president on Friday, November 2, 2018.

The list of subjects in the 2018 attestation were less than those contained in the 2015 statement of result.

When a Twitter user queried WAEC asking:

“how come mathematics and woodwoork that you had F9 (fail) both disappeared in you new @waecnigeria result. Keep embarrassing us sir. I wonder what basis senator adeleke is being prosecuted?”

WAEC responded saying:

“subjects that a candidate had F9s in are no longer captured in certificates or Attestation of Results.”

Another man then blasted the council for issuing certificate to a candidate that didn’t attend secondary school:

To whom it may concern, it is now glaring you don’t need to attend a secondary school to obtain a WAEC Certificate. Simply go to and apply for an attestation and you’re good to go

Of which the council responded thus:

Stop misinforming people.
You can’t apply for Attestation of Results or any other document if you have not registered and sat the examination.
