A Twitter user @T_Homegas, took to the platform to accuse the police of extorting him of 80K in Lekki Phase 1 area of Lagos last night, for not having his driver’s license.

According to the US based Twitter user, he was dragged to the ATM by the police who forced him to part ways with 80K.  His tweet reads;

The police stopped me last night and forced me to go to the ATM and give them 80 thousand naira… That’s armed robbery. I’m tired of this country!

Yeah.. I forgot my driver’s license at home. Bruh it was midnight and they had big guns… Didn’t wanna be another statistic

Recall that few months ago, a Nigerian man and Instagram user @the_eventguy who fell victim to police extortion took to the platform to share a photo of the policeman who reportedly extorted him.
