Students chased out from school over N600 in Rivers state

Some primary school students were denied classes and chased out from school over failure to pay N600 biometric fee in Rivers state.

According to Desmond Kayode who shared the post on Facebook, he saw the pupils stranded, when he asked why they’re out of school by this time they said their Headmistress chased them out over Biometric Fee. He wrote;

This morning i saw pupils of Model Primary School Omagwa walking back to their various homes.

When I asked them, they said they’ve not paid for RECHARGE CARD, haven’t heard of students paying for RECHARGE CARD before, so I went to the School to find out myself. And fortunately I met the Headmistress who happens to be my teacher in primary 5.

The Headmistress told me” that the State Government instructed them to collect #600 from each pupil for Biometrics.

Under Gov. Wike pupils of Model Primary School in Omagwa is been sent to home for not paying for Biometric Card.

Under Wike Free Education is lost.
