A serving senator identified as Bayero Nafada, is in the news for slapping a Commissioner at PDP governorship primaries in Gombe state.
It was gathered that the incident which occurred at PDP governorship primaries in Gombe state which held inside the government house, degenerated to chaos as the venue for the primaries scattered.
Twitter user, @UMH_manga who shared report of the incident involving a serving senator and Commissioner in Gombe State, wrote;
‘Too much chawus and lawlessness in Gombe PDP Gubernatorial primaries. A serving Senator Bayero Nafada who is one of the candidates allegedly Slapped Dankwambo’s commissioner who is also a gubernatorial aspirant
So Dankwambo wanted Sen Bayero but the candidates convinced him to endorse Jamilu. Sen Bayero later came in with his thugs and promised the delegates one million each and ordered his thugs to beat anyone who claims Dankwambo endorsed him

On the other hand, it should be noted that Alhaji Mohammed Inuwa Yahaya on Monday ,emerged winner of the All Progressive Congress (APC) primary election held at the Gombe International Hotel, Gombe.
Yahaya, a former commissioner for finance during Senator Danjuma Goje’s eight-year tenure, was also the party’s governorship standard-bearer in the 2015 general election. He lost the election to Alhaji Ibrahim Hassan Dankwambo of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
Announcing the winner of the election that started around 3:30am, chairman of the election committee, Abu Bawuro, said Inuwa polled 859 votes to beat his closest rival, Mohammed Jibrin Barde who polled 463 votes.
