Sokoto state Governor Aminu Waziri Tambuwal has formally announced his defection from APC to PDP.
He made the announcement on Wednesday while addressing a gathering at Government House, Sokoto.

The APC has recently been hit by a series of defections which started from the National Assembly (NASS). Over 50 members of the APC in the National Assembly decamped to the PDP on Tuesday, July 24, 2018.
On Wednesday, July 25, 2018, Governor Samuel Ortom of Benue state dumped the APC for the PDP.
And just yesterday, the Senate president Bukola Saraki also announced his defection from the ruling APC. Saraki made the announcement via his twitter timeline after due consultation with political associates.
