Mims, who is believed to be about 40 years old, is accused of shooting two men on March 25th in front of 100 people at a house party on Lavette in Benton Harbor.

According to eye witnesses, Mims fatally shot Cortez Miller and Michael Johnson. After the victims collapsed to the ground, witnesses said Mims finished them off by shooting Miller, 22, in the back head and Johnson, 29, in the face, then calmly walked away.

Both Cortez and Miller are survived by young children.

Mims was sought on a Michigan arrest warrant for first-degree murder, possession of a firearm by a felon and felony weapons counts.

Detectives believe Mims, who goes by the nickname ‘Tank,’ is an assassin for the notorious Gangster Disciples gang. He had been on the FBI’s Ten Most Wanted List since June and had a $100,000 reward being offered for his capture.

He was arrested in Georgia August 1, 2018 and arraigned in court last Tuesday. During the arraignment hearing, bond was denied. His next court hearing is August 22, 2018.
