Without warning, he just dropped “Red Room,” the first song from his debut solo album, which will arrive on December 14. Produced by Metro Boomin, the song features introspective verses from Offset that touch on his childhood and family, giving us a peek at what we can expect on the rest of the album.
“I’m talking about relevant situations that have occurred over the last 18 or 24 months, like me being in the crash, my kids, my family time and me being married,” Offset recently told Billboard about the lyrical content on the project. “There’s different parts of my life. The ups and downs of being in music, the feeling of people doubting me and being the underdog to becoming the big dog.”
Doubling down on an effort to get more personal in his music, Offset also told the New York Times, “I’m going to start opening up more.”
