Dele Momodu had written that the the act is politically-motivated and he hopes it is “fake news”. The tweet reads;

I refuse to believe that anyone, in the name of politics, would freeze the bank accounts of a hardworking family THE ADELEKEs including that of this young icon DAVIDO who has done our country very proud… God save our dear beloved nation… I pray it is fake news.

However the singer seems to have confirmed the rumour, after retweeting the claim on PDP’s handle.

This is coming after Ademola Adeleke Campaign Organisation cried out over alleged destruction of billboards of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) by agents of the ruling All Progressive Congress (APC).

The campaign organization also claimed that campaign convoy of the governorship candidate of the PDP, Senator Ademola Adeleke, was breached by a suspected attacker in cream coloured unnumbered Toyota Venza.

On the other hand, it was gathered that the High Court of the Federal Capital Territory, Bwari, Abuja, has ordered the West African Examination Council to produce the results recorded by the Peoples Democratic Party’s candidate in the forthcoming governorship election in Osun State, Senator Ademola Adeleke, in the May/June 1981 examinations conducted by the council.

Justice O. A. Musa, ruling on an ex parte application by two plaintiffs, Mr Wahab Raheem and Mr Adam Habeeb, specifically ordered the examination body to produce in court the ledger containing results of Ademola and his mates with whom he sat for the examinations.

The judge also ordered that WAEC should swear to an affidavit either denying or confirming that Adeleke, an incumbent senator representing Osun West Senatorial District in the Senate, sat for the Council’s May/June 1981 examinations conducted by the council at Ede Muslim High School in Ede, Osun State.
